This range of Hydroboil models protects the environment. Unlike kettles, which take time to boil, Zip Hydroboil provides filtered boiling water instantly. It dispenses freshly filtered drinking water at the touch of a button. You never have to wait for boiling water again.

Like all Zip instant boiling water heaters, Zip Hydroboil is up to three times more energy efficient than an energy- guzzling urn and just as efficient as a well- managed kettle. On standby the most popular Zip Hydroboil uses less power than a 60- watt light globe.
Safe, hygienic and fully automatic
Connected to the cold water and power supply, boiling water is continuously available, around the clock, at a touch of the tap. It provides for concealed plumbing and electrical connections.
All Zip Hydroboil Plus units are designed to operate up to 400 kPa. Zip Hydroboil units are equipped with patented safety controls to protect against water or power failure. This unique system maintains the water within 1°C of boiling point at all times.
A range of models
Zip Hydroboil is available in varying models, delivering from 12 to 300 cups of boiling water at one time. All models come in either a brushed stainless steel casing or high quality durable white polyester powder coated finish. To choose the right model for your needs, simply estimate the number of cups of boiling water you require at one time and select from the table below.
Protects the environment
As no steam escapes from the Zip Hydroboil into the atmosphere, steam damage to paintwork, plaster, working surfaces and expensive wood finishes is Eliminated.
Triple- action water conditioning system
An optional triple- action under- sink filter conditions the water in three important ways, to inhibit the formation of water mineral scale and sediment in the boiling water chamber, as well as giving you crystal clear boiling water for better tasting tea and coffee.

ZIP Hydroboil Installation tips
Following the simple, but critical, installation steps to ensure the warranty does not expire.
STEP 1: PRE- INSTALLATION
- FLUSH THE PIPES BEFORE COUPLING THE HYDROBOIL TO WATER SUPPLY.
- DO NOT CONNECT TO ELECTRICITY SUPPLY FIRST- CONNECT THE UNIT TO THE WATER
- SUPPLY AND KEEP THE WATER SUPPLY ON.
- THE BOILER MUST BE FULL OF WATER BEFORE IT IS SWITCHED ON
- IF NOT, THE ELEMENT WILL BE DAMAGED AND THE WARRANTY WILL NOT BE VALID.
- INSTALL AN INLINE STRAINER SUCH AS THE WC-STR-15 TO PREVENT DIRT DAMAGING THE SOLENOID VALVES AND INTERNAL PLUMBING OF THE UNIT
STEP 2: INSTALLATION
- Position the unit on the wall and mark the key holes.
- NB: 150 MM CLEARANCE ONT HE TOP OF THE UNIT AND 300 MM TO THE LEFT OF THE UNIT IS REQUIRED FOR SERVICING.
- Drill suitable holes in the wall and insert wall plugs.
- Mount the unit on the wall with screws and washers.
- Replace the reset clamp.
- Connect the water supply to the cold water inlet and connect the overflow pipe.
- Turn the water on and check for leaks.
STEP 3: FINISHING
- Replace the cover.
- Tighten all cover screws.
- Open the tap until water passes through and the unit is filled with water.
- Only then turn the power on.
- Boil the water then drain all of the hot water to remove impurities in the unit.

Every Zip product is supplied with a user manual which contains instructions for the installation of the Zip Product, its use and maintenance, as well as warnings relating to the risk of injury or damage that could arise from its use. The installation must be carried out in accordance with the instruction manual.
Product Warranty and the Consumer Protection Act
Franke South Africa (Pty) Ltd warrants the product to be of good quality, in good working order and free from all defects for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery within the regions of South Africa. Franke’s liability in terms of the warranty is limited to either repairing or replacing the damaged or defective Zip product. Use a competent plumber to install your ZIP product In terms of Government notice No.R.1875 of 31 August 1979, no person shall perform the trade of plumbing unless he is a trained plumber or works under the adequate control of a trained plumber or approved competent person.
