Modern Free Standing Stone Baths

Beautiful clean lines complement both traditional and contemporary environments. The Toulouse from Victoria and Albert is a deep, double ended bateau free standing stone bath that features a streamlined built-in overflow - a first for Victoria and Albert. Ravello by Victoria and Albert

The Ravello is a ultra contemporary free standing stone bath design.  It is supplied complete with integral plinth which is cast in one piece. It is finished with Victoria & Albert’s Quarrycast® rare volcanic limestone and resin which makes it easy to clean due to high gloss finish. As with all V&A baths, the Ravello can also be painted.

The Ravello is suitable for free standing or wall mounted taps. Recommended is the Lido Grande free standing tap stand.

Note: Due to the design of the rim, this bath cannot be drilled for tap holes.  The taps and drain assembly are not supplied and must be ordered separately.

Amalfi by Victoria and Albert

The Amalfi is also one of Victoria & Albert’s classic ultra contemporary free standing stone bath designs.  It is supplied complete with integral plinth which is cast in one piece. It is finished with Victoria & Albert’s Quarrycast® rare volcanic limestone and resin which makes it easy to clean due to high gloss finish. As with all V&A baths, the Amalfi can also be painted.

The Amalfi is suitable for free standing or wall mounted taps. Recommended is the Lido Grande free standing tap stand.

Note: Due to the design of the rim, this bath cannot be drilled for tap holes.  The taps and drain assembly are not supplied and must be ordered separately.

Ios by Victoria and Albert

The Ios is an amazingly compact 1.5 m long luxury free standing stone bath which is ultra comfortable.  It is supplied with integral plinth and is made to Victoria and Albert’s international standards.

The Ios is built on the space-saving philosophy of rimless bath design and is aimed at the latest city apartments and en-suite bathrooms where floor area is at a premium.

It does not have an overflow. Although one can easily fit one, we recommend installing a shower drain in the bathroom in case of water flowing over the rim. ‘Wet bathroom’ designs are becoming more popular in Europe since a shower drain can cope with more water than a bath overflow.

The Ios is suitable for free standing or wall mounted taps. Recommended is the Lido Grande free standing tap stand.

Napoli by Victoria and Albert

Boldly conceived as a low slung single piece shell, the Napoli offers the simplicity of rimless bathing combined with extreme comfort and a low step-in height.

The Napoli is the winner of the 2007 Daily Telegraph, House and Garden EXPO competition. Made from QuarryCast® the Napoli is a one piece casting of rare volcanic limestone and resin.

Due to the thin rim free standing or wall mounted taps are recommended.  The Lido Grande tap stand is ideally suited (See images on the right) for the Napoli.

NOTE: Due to the low slung design of the Napoli, installation requires a sub-floor waste trap and pipe work (very similar to a shower waste installation).

Capri by Victoria and Albert

The Capri is a modern contemporary double ended free standing stone bath.  It features a fill length chrome towel rail on the front edge of the bath. Victoria and Albert have achieved what very few bath manufacturers can create, and that is an ergonomically designed square bath with lumber supports.  The Capri will add instant sophistication to any bathroom with minimalist elegance in a single piece casting that descends gracefully to the floor.

The Capri can accommodate deck mounted taps on the one side of the bath (Opposite the bath rail). The holes can be drilled on site by an experienced plumber.

Monaco by Victoria and Albert

Every day cleaning of Victoria and Albert baths:

We recommend a non-abrasive bathroom or kitchen household cleaner. Abrasives will cause the disappearance of the glossy look over a long period. Should you need to clean the bath with an abrasive cleaner, as may be required from time to time, polishing with a car polish or household metal polish will restore the bath’s lustre.

Care and Maintenance:

Repairing a scratch: If any scratches occur during installation these can be removed by rubbing with a 1500+ grit waterproof abrasive paper and water. Re-polish the surface afterwards using a neutral automotive colour restorer or household metal polish. Deeper scratches may require a more abrasive paper to be used initially. If this is the case work your way up to 1500 grit gradually and re-polish. For best results limit sanding to the smallest possible area around the scratch.

It may be possible to polish very fine scratches away without using abrasive papers: scrubbing gently with a soft brush or plastic pad (not metal scouring pad) and a mildly abrasive cream cleaner. Afterwards scrub the whole area with plenty of clean water and re-polish as before.

The Monaco adds instant sophistication to any bathroom. Its design is minimalist elegance in a single piece casting that descends gracefully to the floor.  It has soft lines that will fit in either a contemporary or classic bathroom design from Victoria and Albert.

The Monaco does not have any tap holes so it is suitable for free standing floor mounted taps, wall mounted taps or the optional Lido Grande tap stand (which is the most popular method).

Selecting an overflow for the Monaco. Since the Monaco is a single rim free standing stone bath, the overflow will be exposed. Depending on where the bath will be standing, it is recommended to select the appropriate overflow system. In both these images a chrome overflow is selected which looks aesthetically pleasing rather than a plastic one.

When installing the waste Kit 9C with the Monaco it will be necessary to cut a small hole in the floor to accommodate the p-trap.

Como by Victoria and Albert

The Como is a minimalist gem that extends the options available to owners of small bathroom designs. The cutaway base reveals more floor creating and ingenious impression of space. The Como is a one piece casting of rare volcanic limestone which is harder and more durable than acrylic, easy to clean due to the high gloss finish.

There are no tap holes on the rim of the bath so it is suitable for freestanding taps, wall mounted or use it with the Lido Grande tap stand to fit almost any tap you desire.

Ella by Victoria and Albert

The Ella; a contemporary free standing stone bath design with many options. Feet are available in mahogany or light wood and classic looking white Quarrycast® from Victoria and Albert.

The rim of the bath is slightly thicker in the middle of the bath to accommodate deck mounted taps of your choice (see diagram above). The holes can be drilled n site by just following the instructions.

Just like the Como, the overflow and p-trap are easily accessible so installation is not difficult.

Deauville by Victoria and Albert

The Deauville is named after the glamorous French coastal resort and is at the forefront of European styling. The Deauville is a double ended free standing contemporary design with solid timber feet which is ready to stain or varnish to the colour of your choice. Two feet options are available; unfinished oak or mahogany.

The Deauville is a solid one piece casting of rare volcanic limestone and resin which is harder and more durable than acrylic. The high gloss finish is easy to clean.

Sorrento Sit Tub by Victoria and Albert

A modern free standing sit tub based on the traditional Japanese ‘ofuro’ which offers a refreshingly different experience - side by side bathing thanks to a contoured double width bench seat.

Caution: The weight of the Sorrento filled with water may exceed 500 kg. Please ensure that all flooring is specified for such loads and reinforce where necessary.

Taps cannot be deck mounted to the bath so either freestanding tap stand or wall mounted taps must be used.  If the bath is used as a drop-in bath, deck mounted can be installed into the supporting structure.

The Sorrento can either be installed as freestanding, drop-in or semi-sunken.
