Free standing acrylic bathtubs require slightly more space than drop-in baths but add so much more style in your bathroom.  The free standing acrylic baths come with a skirt, except those that stand on feet such as the Rob Stuart, Jenna and Elegancia. Note that the inner section of the bath should be mounted on feet which are available separately. Some plumbers install the bath directly on sand or cement.  The foot set helps to adjust the level more accurately.

Luxury free standing acrylic baths (with skirt)

Free standing acrylic baths or just free standing baths are a more affordable version of the free standing stone baths. Most of the free standing acrylic baths come with a skirt that is fitted around the bath.  Note that the skirt does not provide support for the bath to stand on.  Stability of the bath is provided by foot kits which is fixed to the bath underside and then filled with wither sand or cement.  The foot kits are sold separately.  So what tap to use, there are three options, deck mounted taps if there is space on the upper side of the bath, free standing taps mounted into the ground or wall mounted taps or shower mixers.  Use a nikki spout to fill the bath with water, it serves as overflow and bath filler and takes very little space. We recommend using the Geberit Uniflex bath waste and filler for all baths. Free standing acrylic  baths are divided into Luxury free standing baths and standard acrylic baths.
